Electrospinning System and Nanofiber

What is Electrospinning? Electro-spin method is improved for producing polymeric nanofibers. Polymeric nanofibers are manufactured from polymer solutions by creating an electrical field that is created with high voltage. This method is the easiest controllable method to manufacture nanofibers. Various nanofibers which has different morphological features are produced with this method. William Gilbert was the first one who examined this phenomena in 1600s. Cristian Friedrich Schönbein on the other hand, creates first fiber which contains high amount of nitrate in it at 1847. The first patent application was done by Francis Cooley in 1900. If you want to learn more about electrospin method you can visit here . Where Electrospinning method can be used? There are many uses of nanofibers in real life. Some of these are listed here.          Cosmetic Applications  Drug Release Studies in Vein  Environmental Problems (Oil sanitization)  Agricultural Applications Acoustic applications Chemical Substance Emission Filtration Stent applications There are many uses of nanofibers in real life. Some of these are listed here. The representative story of electrospin method can be found at the left corner of the site. In this method, a high voltage (10-40 kV) is applied on polymer solutions. This high voltage in the electrical field will move toward to the grounded metal surface. This movement is the result of a variety of physicochemical process in polymer which ends up with thinner and nanometer size of constitute fibers. On the left,...
